Women Who Inspire
Chunky Possum is shaped by the people who have influenced my journey—my father, my experiences, and the incredible women who lift me up. These artists and visionaries inspire me with their creativity, passion, and the way our lives and art have intertwined. I’m honored to share their words, their work, and the stories that connect us. Because at the core of it all, women supporting women makes the world a little more magical

Chunky Possum
Erin LaRoche
My inspiration from women began with my grandmother, Momo, whose unshakable sense of style and class caught my eye from an early age. She taught me that what you wear and how you carry yourself can be an extension of your spirit. That love for bold self-expression deepened when I discovered musicians like Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks—women who didn’t just perform, but lived unapologetically, standing out in a world that often preferred them to blend in. Their presence, their fearlessness, and their individuality have always spoken to me.
I’ve also been shaped by the strength of my mother, who raised two daughters, went back to school, earned her degree, and ran her own business—all while showing me that perseverance is its own kind of artistry. Even now, she never slows down, proving that hard work isn’t just something you do, but a way of being.
The women on this page embody that same spirit. They are artists, entrepreneurs, and visionaries, and I’m honored to call them my friends. It was important to me to create a space to celebrate the women who inspire me daily, those who express themselves fearlessly through their work.
And above all, my greatest inspiration is my daughter, Sophie. She is the most incredible person I know. If I leave this world having become even half the woman she already is at 14, then I’ll know I’ve done something right!

Lalka Beauty Co.
Dawn Angeletti
Hey there! I'm Dawn Angeletti, a film and TV makeup artist with over 25 years of experience. In 2021, I made the move to the charming city of Savannah, and that's where I met the fabulous Erin while working on set. Her vibrant, sweet, and colorful personality instantly clicked with me, and we've been friends ever since—both on and off set!
For as long as I can remember, I've dreamed of opening a makeup and skincare boutique where everyone can embrace their own beauty and feel loved in their own skin. Fast forward to Fall 2023, and that dream came true with the opening of Lalka Beauty Co! I’m so thankful for the incredible women in this community who have supported me. They love popping into the shop to find something quirky, something pretty, or just to get a little skincare and makeup advice.
Helping people feel beautiful is what I’m all about—nurturing is in my nature, and I’m here to make sure everyone leaves with a smile!

Honor & Grace Tattoo
Kelly Borders
Hi friends I'm Kelly Borders owner/artist of Honor & Grace Tattoo in Savannah GA! I've been a tattoo artist for most of my adult life, around 20 years or so now. After completing a traditional tattoo apprenticeship in West Georgia, I spent a short time in New Orleans, which led to spending a year in Charleston, South Carolina. Wanting to do more custom, large scale work, I made my way to The Hostess City and landing at a few awesome shops in Savannah and then in 2019, Honor & Grace was born! While I was at my first shop in Savannah, I met Erin and we have been stuck like glue since! I specialize in American Traditional, Japanese, and Full Color tattooing, and I enjoy creating tattoos with bold lines and solid color which lends itself to extensive cover-up work. But most importantly I love love love working with breast cancer patients to make them feel whole after mastectomy, it's honestly my life's work and it's being supported by amazing women like Erin that makes it all possible!

Mess Hall
Emily Bargaron
I find inspiration in traveling and witnessing the strength, creativity, and resilience of women across cultures. One of the most impactful moments for me was in Morocco, where I watched women hand-weaving intricate rugs while simultaneously raising children, cooking meals, and managing their households with grace and skill. Their ability to balance motherhood and craftsmanship so seamlessly reminded me of Erin. Erin inspires me every day with the way she prioritizes her daughter while also pouring her heart into building a successful business. She embodies the same spirit I’ve seen in women around the world—grounded in love, driven by purpose, and effortlessly balancing it all.
